The Wells County Youth Sports Bluffton T-Ball league is an introductory program designed to introduce children ages 5-6 to the fundamentals of baseball in a fun and encouraging environment. Through age-appropriate drills and games, participants will learn basic baseball skills, develop teamwork and sportsmanship, and most importantly, have a blast playing America’s favorite pastime!
Practices begin Mid-April, season ends July 4th

Our Bluffton T-Ball league prioritizes fun and positive experiences while teaching the basics of baseball. Expect high-energy games, engaging drills, and a supportive atmosphere where kids learn through play and discover a love for the sport.
Building Skills and Growing Confidence
In our Bluffton T-Ball league, kids develop essential skills like throwing, catching, hitting, and running the bases. We break down techniques in age-appropriate ways, fostering confidence and a sense of accomplishment with each new achievement, on and off the field. And thank you to our sponsors for making this happen!
This league is not open for registrations.
Player Eligibility:
- T-Ball League Ages: 5 (by May 1st) to 6 years
- T-Ball Camp Ages: 4 Year Olds Only
Registration Requirements:
- Completed registration form
- Payment of registration fee: $40
Equipment:
- Helmet (meeting safety standards)
- Glove (appropriate size for child)
- Cleats or athletic shoes
- Bat (approved for T-ball use)
League Rules
BLUFFTON TEE-BALL/COACHES PITCH RULES
Ages (5-6)
1) Two games each evening. 1st game beginning at 6:00 pm and 2nd beginning at 7:15 pm.
2) There will be three (3) innings per game.
3) There will be scheduled rain-outs. Call 273-0397 to set up a date & time.
4) One (1:00) hour time limit each game.
5) All players will play each game defensively.
6) Coaches can choose to pitch, from a “one-knee down” position, to their players. (It is recommended to
do so).
7) From a “one-knee down” position, coaches should be approximately 15- 20 feet away from the batter,
and deliver three (3) overhand pitches to the batter.
8) If the batter does not put a ball in play after the three (3) pitches, then the coach will place the ball on
the tee for the batter to hit.
9) Players will advance one base at a time, except for the last batter who will hit a “home-run.”
10) Each player must wear a hat and shirt to play.
11) No alterations to uniforms permitted except that the child’s name may be added. (i.e. no STARS, etc.)
12) Six (6) players allowed in the infield, i.e. P, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS & one extra infielder. Six (6) or seven (7)
players allowed in the outfield.
13) Practices and games will be limited to two (2) practices per week OR one (1) practice game and one (1)
practice OR two (2) games per week.
14) NO MONEY may be collected outside of the required fees.
15) Coaches will be permitted to go into the outfield defensively. Base coaches can be at 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
base.
16) Defensive players will not be permitted to play the same position more than two (2) times in one game.
17) Standard tee-ball bats will be used and shall not exceed 27” in length.
18) Only Rif 5, soft, tee-ball balls will be used. NO HARD BALLS!
